Rockley Farm

Equine rehabilitation and barefoot performance on Exmoor

Meet the team

We have been taking horses for lameness rehabilitation since 2005 and to date several hundred horses have been through our programme. We are always happy to answer questions from you or your vet or to put you in touch with other owners whose horses have been here.

Andy Willis, Right hand man

Andy is Nic's husband and is integral to the smooth running of the farm. He also hunts his own horses (barefoot of course) whenever he has any spare time.

Nic Barker, Team leader

Nic first took the shoes off her own horses in 2004 and since then has helped numerous horses and owners. She specialises in lameness due to DDFT, collateral ligament and navicular bone injuries. She has written 2 books on the subject and also presents regular workshops.

Sam Barker, Junior but capable

Sam is Nic and Andy's nephew and has been working at Rockley since he was 13 years old. He now has years of experience and is particularly good with new horses. He is also our chief groundsman so is always busy.
